Patti was delighted to have two, very different, pieces of work selected for PRISM’s show at Mile End, running from 20th April to 1st May 2023
The first is a group of 24 stitched images showing men “not looking at porn”. Also displayed were a drypoint print book of the images, a series of cards and miniature books.
The second piece, entitled “Here Am I”, is a from-life bodyprint which uses stitching to replicate her surgical scars, some dating back over 50 years. Creating this tapped into deep sensate memories prompting painful reminders of long forgotten or buried emotional and physical traumas. She has said that this piece needs updating – she had to have further major surgery whilst on holiday which created more scars. Watch this space!
